What Happened?

American Income Life and Globe Life notified 532,578 people that personal information may have been involved in a data incident on or about October 2, 2024.

The parties reached a class settlement with up to $3.4 million available for cash payments. Defendants separately pay administration costs, attorneys' fees up to $1.26 million, and two years of Cyex Financial Shield Complete credit monitoring for class members who do not opt out.

Cash Payment A reimburses up to $5,000 in documented unreimbursed losses from October 1, 2024 through the notice date. Cash Payment B pays $18/hour for up to 4 hours of self-certified time ($72). Both may be claimed together. If valid cash claims exceed $3.4 million, payments are cut pro rata.
