NJ Lenders Data Breach Settlement
NJ Lenders Corp has agreed to a data breach settlement for people who received direct notice that their Private Information (name, Social Security number, and/or other non-public personally identifiable information) may have been impacted in an August 2025 data incident. There is no common settlement fund — class members choose individual cash payments of up to $2,500 for documented losses or a flat $40 no-proof alternate, plus one year of CyEx Financial Shield Complete credit monitoring with $1M of financial fraud insurance. Claim deadline: October 1, 2026.
Do I Qualify?
You may be eligible if:
- You received direct notice from NJ Lenders Corp that your Private Information may have been impacted in the August 2025 data incident
- Your Private Information may include name, Social Security number, and/or other non-public personally identifiable information
- You are not an excluded party (NJ Lenders directors/officers, government entities, the presiding judge, the judge's immediate family, or court staff)
- The class is nationwide and notice-based, not state-restricted
- You file a valid claim by October 1, 2026
Documented-loss option: receipts or similar proof of out-of-pocket losses incurred between August 18, 2025 and October 1, 2026 (up to $2,500). $40 alternate: no proof required. Online filing requires the Login ID and PIN from your mailed notice.

NJ Lenders Corp notified individuals that their Private Information — including name, Social Security number, and/or other non-public personally identifiable information — may have been impacted in an August 2025 data incident.
The parties reached a class action settlement with individual payments only and no common settlement fund disclosed. Class members who received direct notice may choose one cash option and enroll in credit monitoring.
Cash option 1: reimbursement of actual documented out-of-pocket losses (receipts or similar proof required) up to $2,500, incurred between August 18, 2025 and October 1, 2026. Cash option 2: a flat $40 no-proof alternate cash payment.
Every class member can also enroll in one year of CyEx Financial Shield Complete credit monitoring with $1M of financial fraud insurance, regardless of which cash option is chosen. Claims are due October 1, 2026 via njlendersdatasettlement.com/form/claim using the Login ID and PIN from the mailed notice, or by mailing the claim form to the settlement administrator.
