What Happened?

In December 2024, Vector Security experienced a data breach that may have exposed personal information including names, Social Security numbers, driver's license or state ID numbers, payment card numbers, tax IDs, and medical or health insurance information for roughly 30,282 people. Vector notified affected individuals and related class litigation followed. Vector denies wrongdoing and agreed to settle.

The settlement offers two cash paths: documented out-of-pocket reimbursement up to $2,000 (including up to $60 lost time), or an alternative flat cash payment of about $50 with no loss documentation. Alternative cash awards are capped at $185,000 in the aggregate across the class.

Separately, all class members may elect one free year of CyEx Financial Shield Complete credit monitoring. Online claims require the Login ID and PIN from the settlement notice; a mail PDF form is also available.

Claims must be submitted online or postmarked by September 15, 2026 at vectorsettlement.com/form/claim. Benefits distribute after final approval and resolution of any appeals.
