• Eligible nationwide (YES Communities operates in 23 states)
• Incident: December 9–11, 2024
• You file a valid claim by November 5, 2026

Cash Payment A: documents for fraud/identity-theft losses. Cash Payment B: self-certified hours (up to 4 at $20/hour). Cash Payment C: no documentation, but it replaces A and B. Online filing uses the Claim Number and PIN from your postcard notice.

What Happened?

YES Communities notified 10,675 residents, applicants, and current or former employees that private information was compromised in a December 2024 ransomware attack affecting manufactured-home communities across 23 states.

The company is paying valid claims directly rather than from a shared pot. Attorneys' fees and costs of about $217,000, plus all administration costs, are paid separately. There is no aggregate ceiling and no pro rata reduction.

Claimants choose A (documented losses up to $2,500) and/or B (lost time up to $80), which stack, or C (flat $50) instead of A/B. Three years of one-bureau IDX monitoring is available with any cash path, even if you already took the original 12-month offer.

How Much Will I Actually Get?

Cash Payment A reimburses up to $2,500 in documented losses from fraud or identity theft tied to the breach. Cash Payment B pays $20/hour for up to 4 hours of self-certified lost time ($80 maximum) — A and B stack, for a $2,580 ceiling. Cash Payment C is a flat $50 with no documentation, but choosing it rules out A and B. Three years of one-bureau IDX credit monitoring is available on top of any of the three cash choices (additive, not exclusive), including for people who already took the 12-month monitoring YES Communities offered in its original 2025 breach letter. Because there is no shared fund, the $50 flat payment is fixed, not an estimate that moves.
