ConnectOnCall has agreed to a $4.95 million settlement for living U.S. residents whose private information may have been impacted when an intruder accessed its after-hours medical answering platform between February 16 and May 12, 2024. Cash claimants must also attest that they communicated after-hours with a healthcare provider or office between May 12, 2014 and May 12, 2024 — a 10-year window that is not the same as the breach dates. Choose documented losses up to $5,000 or alternate cash up to $75, plus optional two-year Dark Web and Medical Data Monitoring. Deadline: November 2, 2026. File at connectoncallsettlement.com.

Do I Qualify?

You may be eligible if:

After-hours attestation: required for either cash option (May 12, 2014–May 12, 2024). Cash Payment A: documents for unreimbursed identity-theft/fraud losses. Cash Payment B: no extra documents beyond the attestation. A Unique ID/PIN from your notice helps but is not required to file.

File your claim through the official settlement website at connectoncallsettlement.com before November 2, 2026.

What Happened?

An intruder accessed the ConnectOnCall after-hours medical answering platform between February 16 and May 12, 2024.

The parties reached a $4.95 million common-fund settlement covering benefits, an estimated $490,000 in administration costs, and attorneys' fees up to $1.65 million.

Cash claimants must attest to after-hours communication with a healthcare provider or office sometime between May 12, 2014 and May 12, 2024. Payment A covers documented identity-theft/fraud losses up to $5,000; Payment B is up to $75. A rejected documented claim converts to the $75 payment. Two years of Dark Web and Medical Data Monitoring can be claimed in addition. If the fund is exceeded, cuts hit monitoring first, then documented losses, then the $75 cash last.

How to File Your Claim

  1. File online at connectoncallsettlement.com — a Unique ID/PIN from your notice speeds this up, but there is a separate path for people who never received a notice, so an ID is not required to file
  2. Make the after-hours communication attestation (May 12, 2014–May 12, 2024)
  3. Choose monitoring, then Cash Payment A (documented) or Cash Payment B (alternate cash) — pick one cash option, not both
  4. Submit online or postmark by November 2, 2026
  5. Visit the official claim form: https://www.connectoncallsettlement.com/

How Much Will I Actually Get?

Cash Payment A reimburses up to $5,000 for documented, unreimbursed losses from identity theft or fraud attributed to the breach. Cash Payment B is up to $75 with no documentation beyond the after-hours attestation. Separately and in addition to either cash choice, you can claim two years of Dark Web and Medical Data Monitoring (valued at $360). If a documented-loss claim is rejected or under-supported, it converts automatically to the $75 payment rather than being denied outright. If total claims exceed the fund, payouts are cut pro rata in this order: monitoring first, then documented losses, then the $75 alternate cash last.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who qualifies, and what is the after-hours attestation?
Living U.S. residents whose private information may have been impacted when an intruder accessed ConnectOnCall between February 16 and May 12, 2024. To claim cash, you must also swear that you communicated after-hours with a healthcare provider or their office sometime between May 12, 2014 and May 12, 2024 — that 10-year window is separate from, and wider than, the breach dates.
What are the two cash options?
Payment A reimburses documented identity-theft or fraud losses up to $5,000. Payment B is up to $75 with no extra documents beyond the after-hours attestation. You pick one cash option, not both. Two years of Dark Web and Medical Data Monitoring can be claimed on top of either.
What if my documented-loss claim is rejected?
It converts automatically to the $75 Payment B rather than being denied outright, as long as you otherwise qualify.
Is the monitoring benefit instead of cash?
No. Two years of Dark Web and Medical Data Monitoring (valued at $360) is in addition to whichever cash option you choose.
When is the deadline, and do I need a notice ID?
November 2, 2026, online or postmarked. A Unique ID/PIN from your notice speeds filing, but the portal has a path for people who never got a notice — an ID is not required. File at connectoncallsettlement.com.
