Pennsylvania Mavis Discount Tire customers may qualify. This is a Pennsylvania Attorney General restitution matter, not a class-action settlement — there is no settlement website, no claim form, and no private claims administrator. Only customers of Mavis's Pennsylvania locations qualify; Mavis customers in other states cannot file under this matter. Consumers who paid for repairs or services that were unnecessary, never performed, or not done properly can file a complaint with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Bureau of Consumer Protection by January 26, 2027. The Attorney General's office decides who qualifies and how much each person receives — there is no guaranteed per-person amount, cap, or formula. The $190,000 restitution pool is part of Mavis's $215,000 total payment; a separate $25,000 covers the state's investigation costs, and a $100,000 penalty is suspended unless Mavis violates the agreement.

Do I Qualify?

You may be eligible if:

Proof Required: Yes. The Attorney General's office requires a complaint "with sufficient support" — repair invoices, receipts, estimates, or similar records showing what was recommended, charged, and actually done.

File your claim through the official settlement website at attorneygeneral.gov before January 26, 2027.

What Happened?

The Pennsylvania Attorney General alleged that Mavis Discount Tire employees, in certain instances, recommended repairs that were not reasonably necessary, charged for services that were not completed, and performed some work improperly at the company's more than 130 Pennsylvania locations.

Mavis signed an Assurance of Voluntary Compliance with the Attorney General on September 28, 2026, without admitting liability, and denies the allegations.

Mavis agreed to pay $215,000 total: $190,000 for consumer restitution, $25,000 to reimburse the state's investigation costs, and a $100,000 civil penalty that is suspended unless Mavis violates the agreement.

Consumers who file a complaint with sufficient supporting documentation by January 26, 2027 (or who already filed one before September 28, 2026) may be considered for a share of the $190,000 restitution pool, with amount, timing, and method left to the Attorney General's discretion.

How to File Your Claim

  1. File a complaint with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Bureau of Consumer Protection using the online complaint form — there is no separate settlement website or claim form for this matter
  2. Include supporting documentation such as repair invoices, receipts, estimates, or records showing what was recommended, charged, and actually done
  3. File by January 26, 2027 — if you already filed a Mavis complaint with the Attorney General's office before September 28, 2026, you are already covered and do not need to file again
  4. The Attorney General's office, not a private claims administrator, decides who qualifies and how much each person receives, and no payment date has been set
  5. Visit the official claim form: https://www.attorneygeneral.gov/submit-a-complaint/

How Much Will I Actually Get?

The $190,000 restitution pool is part of a larger $215,000 payment from Mavis: $190,000 for consumer restitution and $25,000 to reimburse the Attorney General's investigation costs, which is not available to consumers. A separate $100,000 civil penalty is suspended and only becomes payable if Mavis violates the settlement, so it is not part of the restitution pool either. There is no per-person amount, cap, or formula; the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office has sole discretion over how much each consumer receives, when, and how.
