What Happened?

In Boggiano, et al. v. Mount Sinai Med. Ctr. of Fla. a/k/a Mount Sinai Med. Ctr., Circuit Court of the 17th Judicial Circuit in and for Broward County, Florida (Case No. CACE-26-006904-09), plaintiffs allege a data disclosure of personally identifying information, protected health information, and/or confidential communications to third parties via tracking, analytics, and/or advertising technologies on Mount Sinai's website and patient portal between June 10, 2021 and September 18, 2025.

Mount Sinai denies wrongdoing and agreed to settle to avoid the cost and uncertainty of continued litigation. The settlement is a compromise and not an admission of liability.

The settlement creates a $220,000 cash fund. Class members who file a valid claim may receive an estimated $20 pro rata cash payment (subject to increase or decrease based on total valid claims).
