Serviceaide Data Breach Class Action Settlement
Serviceaide has agreed to pay $1.8 million to settle a class action over a data security incident affecting its systems between September 2024 and November 2024. If you received a breach notice — especially as a current or former Catholic Health patient — you may be entitled to an approximate $50 cash payment with no proof required, or up to $5,000 for documented out-of-pocket losses. The claim deadline is September 1, 2026.

- You are a U.S. resident whose private information was impacted in the Serviceaide data incident between September 19, 2024 and November 5, 2024
- You received a data breach notice from Serviceaide, Catholic Health, or the settlement administrator
- You are among the approximately 480,000 individuals identified in the settlement class
- You submit a valid claim online or by mail before the September 1, 2026 deadline
No proof is required for Cash Payment B (~$50). If you claim documented losses up to $5,000 under Cash Payment A, you must provide third-party documentation such as receipts, bank statements, or invoices traceable to the breach.

Between September 19, 2024 and November 5, 2024, unauthorized access to Serviceaide systems potentially exposed private information of individuals connected to Catholic Health and related services. Settlement notices began going out on or after May 9, 2025 to current and former patients whose data may have been affected.
The lawsuit alleges Serviceaide failed to implement reasonable safeguards to protect sensitive personal information. Serviceaide denies wrongdoing but agreed to the $1,800,000 settlement to resolve the litigation without admitting liability.
Nearly 480,000 people are in the settlement class nationwide. If you received a notice letter or email, that is the clearest confirmation of eligibility.

How Much Will I Actually Get?
Class members may choose one of two cash options. Cash Payment A reimburses up to $5,000 for documented out-of-pocket losses traceable to the breach (third-party documentation required). Cash Payment B is an alternate pro rata cash payment of approximately $50 with no documentation required. Both options come from the $1,800,000 settlement fund after fees and costs.
Documented losses may receive higher compensation.
