Sony PlayStation Store Antitrust Settlement
Sony Interactive Entertainment has agreed to a $7.85 million antitrust class action settlement over PlayStation Store digital game pricing. If you bought qualifying digital games on the PlayStation Store between April 2019 and December 2023, you may receive pro rata PSN wallet credit. Active PSN accounts get credit automatically after final approval — no claim form required. Deactivated account holders must contact the administrator by August 27, 2026.
Do I Qualify?
You may be eligible if:
- You are a U.S. resident who purchased qualifying digital games through the PlayStation Store between April 1, 2019 and December 31, 2023
- The game had a retail voucher available before April 1, 2019 with at least 200 prior redemptions
- The post-restriction PlayStation Store price rose at least 50 cents
- Your PlayStation account is among the approximately 4.4 million covered accounts

Plaintiffs alleged Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC violated federal antitrust law under the Sherman Act and Clayton Act by banning third-party retailers from selling PlayStation digital game vouchers starting April 1, 2019.
The lawsuit claims Sony forced all digital purchases through the PlayStation Store and allegedly inflated prices across the market.

The settlement received preliminary court approval on April 8, 2026, after two earlier settlement versions were rejected by the court.
Sony denies any wrongdoing. The Final Approval Hearing is scheduled for October 15, 2026.

How Much Will I Actually Get?
No fixed per-person amount. The $7,850,000 fund is distributed pro rata based on qualifying purchases as a share of the total fund, after approximately 25% attorneys' fees, costs, and $30,000 in service awards are deducted. Payments are deposited as PSN wallet credit. Active accounts receive credit automatically after final approval. Deactivated account holders must contact the administrator by August 27, 2026.
