$9.4M Fandango Convenience Fee Class Action Settlement
Fandango Media has agreed to pay approximately $9.4 million to settle a class action alleging the company failed to properly disclose mandatory convenience fees on movie ticket purchases and offered expiring FanClub promotional discounts. If you bought Fandango tickets or a FanClub membership during the eligible periods, you may be owed money.

- You are not subject to binding arbitration
- Convenience fee class members who want cash must file a claim by August 17, 2026

File Your Claim →What Happened?
Fandango was sued for charging excessive and undisclosed convenience fees when customers purchased movie tickets online. The lawsuit alleged that Fandango failed to adequately disclose the fees before customers committed to a purchase, making it difficult for buyers to understand the true cost of their tickets until the checkout process was nearly complete.
This practice — sometimes called "drip pricing" — is increasingly scrutinized by regulators and courts as a form of consumer deception. Fandango agreed to settle the class action for $9.4 million.
How Much Will I Actually Get?
Eligible claimants can receive between $3.25 and $7.50 depending on their purchase history. No proof of purchase is required for the base payment. If you purchased movie tickets through Fandango during the qualifying period, you qualify. Deadline is August 17, 2026.
