Do I Qualify?
You may be eligible if:
- You are a U.S. resident
- Your personal information (name, birth date, Social Security number, and/or account number) was affected by the May 31, 2024 FinWise Bank / FinWise Bancorp / American First Finance data incident
- Holding a FinWise or American First Finance account is not enough by itself — your information specifically has to have been affected
- California 2x cash shares are based on residency at the time of the incident, not where you live today
- You file a valid claim by October 29, 2026
Unique ID and PIN from the mailed or emailed notice are required for the online portal. Documented losses need receipts or statements. The Cash Fund Payment does not require loss documentation. If you lost your ID/PIN, use the official site's contact page — the online form will not open without those credentials.

What Happened?
Plaintiffs alleged that a May 31, 2024 data incident at FinWise Bank / FinWise Bancorp / American First Finance exposed personal information including names, birth dates, Social Security numbers, and account numbers. Defendants deny wrongdoing and agreed to settle.
The settlement creates a $2.8 million fund. Class members choose documented-loss reimbursement up to $5,000 or a Cash Fund Payment from what remains after documented-loss and monitoring costs. Either path can add two years of 3-bureau credit monitoring.
California residents at the time of the incident receive two cash shares for every one share paid to other cash claimants. That multiplier does not raise the $5,000 documented-loss cap.

How Much Will I Actually Get?
$2.8 million total fund. Documented losses reimbursed up to $5,000 with proof. Cash Fund Payment claimants split what remains after documented-loss and monitoring costs — not a fixed amount, reduced proportionally if claims exceed the fund. California residents at the time of the incident get 2 cash shares per 1 share for other claimants (does not change the $5,000 documented cap).
